The masterplan for district D4, Skolkovo GREENFIELDS, was created by Meganom in cooperation with Stefano Boeri Architetti. D4 is a mixed-use site adjacent to the university campus to the northeast of the innovation centre. There are no plans to construct large-scale structures on the site; rather it follows the model of a "modern village," with apartments, townhouses and private homes. The district’s architectural design code entails alternating strips of buildings perpendicular to the main boulevard running through the entire territory of the innovation centre. District D4 fully reflects the ideology underlying the Skolkovo general plan: close proximity of housing and work places, immersion into the landscape, and maximum openness of all spaces.
